2016 PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY

Beginning in 2016 all athletes must provide one of the following proof of eligibility documents at the National Championship events.  Non-compliance with the new proof of eligibility rule will result in players being disqualified.

1. Valid Passport

2. Valid Driver’s License or Learner’s Permit

3. Military ID card

4. Dept. of Motor Vehicles State Identification card

**New Methods**

5. A current school picture ID in addition to an original raised seal birth certificate (if your school does not issue I.D. cards, download our School I.D. Verification Form, complete it and have it verified by your school administrator).

6. Electronic Age Verification through SportsAge ID.  A one-time registration fee of only $10.00 covers 100% of all updating and processing fees for as long as an athlete participates in the AAU Boys Basketball Program.

This  technology eliminates the need for parents to wait in long DMV lines for identification cards (average costs $23.00), long lines at the registrar’s office to obtain birth certificates (average costs $18.00), or the need to provide coaches with photo identification cards or birth certificates each season.
